Mir Ahmad Ali

Mr. Mir Ahmad Ali

Mr. Mir Ahmad Ali has served as the head of operations for the group since the inception of the businesses in 1993.

Mr. Mir Ali started his career in business in 1966 when the company he started, Khanamsons, Ltd. (Pakistan), manufactured soap products and plastic products for the cabin facilities for Pakistan International Airlines, Air Malta, Jordan Airlines and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. His company also manufactured pharmaceutical bottles and plasticware for those bottles and dispensing products for Pfizer and Domex.

He also served as a biomedical engineer for over 27 years at King Saud University and King Khalid University Hospital (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia), where he was also responsible for programming and managing data mining activities for use in the research studies carried out in collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO). Research areas included Thalassemia and Diabetes studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, he served the role of the purchasing manager for his department and related research groups.

His educational background includes receiving training in Nuclear Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Hospital (Loma Linda, CA, USA), Ohio Nuclear (Cleveland, OH, USA) and Nuclear Chicago (Searls), Holland.

He currently serves as the President and CEO of Aracure LLC (USA), ISM-TEC LLC (USA) (since 1999) and as the International Business Coordinator of Sesneber International (Saudi Arabia) (since 2006) whereby he oversees the operations for the complete Middle-East territory for all the respective divisions.

Prof. Arjumand S. Warsy

A professor of Biochemistry, Prof. Warsy has taught most branches of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology to undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students for over 40 years. She has also actively participated in research for the same number of years. Her research interests include Study of the Molecular, Genetic, Biochemical, Hematological and Immunological Aspects of Genetic Diseases and Multifactorial Disorders including Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia, G-6-PD Deficiency and other Enzyme Deficiencies, Diabetes Mellitus, Obesity, Hypertension, Cardiovascular Diseases and different types of cancer. She has extensive experience in a variety of techniques commonly used in Molecular Biology, General Biochemistry, Protein Purification and Characterization, Enzyme Kinetics and Inhibition Studies, Basic Bioinformatics and Basic Biostatistics.

Dr. Amer Mahmood

Dr. Amer Mahmood received his MSc from Copenhagen University in the field of Autoimmune Destruction of beta cells in Type 1 diabetic patients. He obtained his PhD in Medical Sciences in the field of Human Embryonic PluripotentStem Cell Research and Bone Biology from the University of Southern Denmark where he successfully differentiated human embryonic stem cells into mesoderm and further in bone, fat and cartilage forming mesenchymal stem cells. He did his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Biomedical Research Center, Department of The Molecular Endocrinology & Stem Cell Research Unit (KMEB, University of Southern Denmark); he studied the expression of human DLK-1 a novel regulator of bone mass that mediates estrogen deficiency–induced bone loss in mice.

Dr. Mahmood was Assistant Professor and Principle Investigator in Stem cell research at King Saud University in the Stem Cell Unit Department of Anatomy. In 2017, he was promoted to Associate Professor of Stem cell and Regenerative Medicine. His recent research focus is on the field of Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, particularly in skeletal-bone disorders. Dr. Mahmood has also been working extensively in the field small RNA including micro-RNA and siRNA in addition to Nano-fibrous scaffold for bone-, blood vessel and cartilage regeneration. Additionally, his group is looking at differentiation of iPSCs into different mesodermal lineages. Dr. Mahmood’s group has also initiated the first clinical trials with adult stem cells in Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Hemanshu Modi

Mr. Hemanshu Modi obtained his BSc in Biology at the University of Waterloo in 1996. Following a brief period at Allelix Biopharmaceuticals, he focused on the development of diagnostic assays at Luminex Molecular Diagnostics (LMD; formerly TM BioScience). Mr. Modi held several senior level positions at LMD, including Director of Technical Support, Director of Operations, and Director of Design Transfer and Process Engineering. Mr. Modi has expertise in the clinical development and regulatory approval of DNA-based diagnostic assays. He joined ACGT (Canada) in February 2012, where he was Vice President of Operations. Mr. Modi was responsible for manufacturing of DNA/RNA primers and probes, and, in addition, he was the main person responsible for Sanger sequencing and NGS as well.

Syed Abid Ali

Mr. Syed Abid Ali has served as the second-in-command for the Medical Technology Link (MTL) Alliance (USA) businesses since their inception in 1993. Working with ISM-TEC LLC and Araware LLC, some of the companies under his direct supervision, his key efforts have been in the expansion of the business footprint to now cover a global territory.

Additionally, Mr. Ali continues to be an active researcher in the IT field and has published several papers in such areas as parallel computer processing and architecture, stereo-correlation, face recognition, gait recognition and image processing in general. Currently, his research work is in the area of assistive technologies focusing on solutions for those suffering from physical disabilities, in particular, visual impairment.

Mr. Miko Stenman

Mr. Miko Stenman is an internationally recognized IAQ-W specialist with 18 years’ experience in international Indoor Air Quality engineering and managing positions.

Mr. Miko specifically provides consulting for financially feasible turnkey solutions for sterile and controlled environments according to international standards per customer’s specific needs.

Main applications are in the area of controlled environments for laboratories, biosafety laboratories and cleanrooms in all applicable industry segments.

Dr. Rabia Jafri

Dr. Jafri has been instrumental in the success of Araware LLC as a research and development company. Her publications have been cited by numerous educational institutions and research groups around the world and she has presented her work at conferences in the US and France.

In addition to her position at Araware, she currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Information Technology at King Saud University (Saudi Arabia).
